Okay, this is going to sound a little weird, and I'm not sure what to think about this, but, you have to see this to believe it.

Open a fresh copy of windows notepad. then type the exact text

Love the ibm notes

No punctuation, no correcting capitalization or carriage return

Then save the document as c:\lotus.txt

Next re-open the document you just saved (file\open then c:\lotus.txt)

Somehow the text gets garbled. It happens on every windows machine I try.
